Standard Consultation
A Standard Consultation is the ideal budget-oriented choice for a family who desires the unique, personalized service from EnRoute. A Standard Consultation will begin with a no-obligation introductory consultation to go over a completed questionnaire, to discuss the fundamentals of a gap year, as well as review the role EnRoute will play in the planning process. After the first phone call, EnRoute will officially begin researching opportunities with your parameters in mind.
Services Included with a Standard Consultation:
- Initial introductory assessment to determine goals of time off and process of planning gap year
- Up to four follow up consultations to further clarify and implement plans
- A personalized, extensive search of reputable and vetted service/travel organizations based on consults and/or meetings
- Assistance in budgeting, itinerary and other logistical issues
- Working closely with parents to instill confidence in the reliability of chosen organizations and programs
The formal services associated with the Basic Consultation end after the fourth concluding planning conversation and/or when the student departs for their time off.

Customized Consultation
For families that might require more assistance than the Standard Consultation provides, EnRoute now offers the option to customize your service. This allows us to broaden the services offered in our Standard Consultation based on the individual needs of the student and family.
Examples of additional support include:
- Resource materials such as recommended texts and websites
- Ground support during gap year: This includes reasonable alterations to the set itinerary, exploring independent travel opportunities and other logistical support*
- Pre-Departure consultation with parents/guardians of gapper in order to answer any questions or address concerns before their child departs
- Additional meetings to create or modify gap year itinerary
- Meetings with the student's guidance counselor, educational consultant or family counselor to integrate additional recommendations when appropriate

Payment & Refunds
At EnRoute, we're dedicated to helping create a memorable and meaningful gap year experience. After the introductory consultation, we allow up to two weeks to give you and your family time to make an informed decision about formally hiring EnRoute. We ask that payments be made in full before the formal consultation process begins. This ensures we are able to fulfill our services without delay. We regret to inform that we are not able to give refunds once payment is received. We will, however, do everything we can to meet your satisfaction. Thank you for understanding.
